Y’all….I’m going to AAAASSSSSSHHHHHEEEEEEE!!
Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) 2018 was my first ASHE conference and I loved it. I attended a number of enlightening sessions, saw leadership in action from our outgoing president Dr. Lori Patton Davis, presented a poster with my sister scholar/colleague/homegirl Ulyssa on our Peer Mentor Program, and attended the Hey Sis Meet Up powered by Schoolin Life, Cite a Sista, Sister PhD, and #TeamTypingFast. It was a beautiful Black ass time.
I am so excited for this year.
Not too long after returning from the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE) in Portland, OR, I found out that my proposal – You Damn Right I’m Angry: The Experiences of Black Women Doctoral Candidates in Agricultural Life Sciences was accepted as a research paper!

Y'all I was so excited I tagged the wrong year 🤦🏾♀️
Are you going to ASHE? Let's connect!
Now, back to procrastinating...I mean dissertating.
✊🏾
